A team of four keepers from Zoo Negara Malaysia, led by the zoo’s deputy director, Dr Felix, are currently in Bifengxia Panda Base. They have been here since 2 November to work with Fu Wa’s and Feng Yi’s keepers, and assigned to work in pairs to help look after our two Malaysian pandas.

By the time I saw one pair at the new breeding centre on 11 November, they’d already completed a week with Fu Wa over at Old Leopard Mountain and will be helping with Feng Yi this week.

From the look of things, Feng Yi seems comfortable with her future keepers, following the previous week with their colleagues.
